SPOILER ALERT!

Reading progress update: I've read 5 out of 366 pages.

Onyx - Jennifer L. Armentrout

I went into this book telling myself: Marie, don't use your brain while reading this book. Just enjoy it for what it is, a quick and fun read. But then....

P.1:-Ten whole seconds . Twisting around in my seat, I inhaled the unique outdoorsy scent that was all him.

-Good morning, Kitten.

P.2:-Me.Him. Making out.

-An unhealthy amount of exitement had my entire body humming.

-Resistance is futile Kitten .

P.3: -Only he could skip fourth period early to get lunch and not end up in detention.

-He was just so special.

-Every girl at the tale, besides his sister, was staring at him. Some guys were, too.

P.5: His lips tipped up one side and he learned toward me , his mouth inches from mines: Come and get it. Oh, holy alien babies everywhere.

-Several  of the girls at the table made sounds that had me wondering if they were turning into puddles under the table...

The way I felt while reading these first five pages can only be explained by a a few gifs:

I know a lot (A LOT! ) of people love this series and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But so far, it's just not working for me . It's too mushy-gushy for me. And I'm really not into Damon. I don't hate him. He's alright but everything he says and do is corny.

I'll keep reading Onyx because from what I remember from book 1, it was quite an addictive read but please, J.L Armentrout. More plot, less Damon is so hot and Special.
